	Kenya Green Stone with Black Diamonds

					The centerpiece bead in this necklace is made with clay from the Mt. Kenya area and is shaped by hand, without the aid of molds or forms. They are polished and kiln fired, painted and fired again. The women who make these beads take care of an average extended family of 20+ with their income. Their children are provided education, medical and dental as part of their benefits. Employment has grown from two women to 350+. They are part of the Fair Trade Federation.
